This was a new and substantial initiative to drive innovations in management of the dairy feedbase. Two student projects are designed to deliver impacts in pasture persistence and allocation of pasture.
Bringing confidence to sow pastures that are persistent and retain high levels of performance is a high priority for industry. Innovations that improve allocation of pasture to lift productivity at both a herd level and farm level is critical to the future profitability of the dairy industry.
